Now I stay home and have to find them wherever I can. I wish I could have seen you dragging those bags on the train:)Aunt Debbi/kurts momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05663049154538571378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5914810585595300402.post-8493157842413379382008-08-28T14:04:00.000-07:002008-08-28T14:04:00.000-07:00I love coffee grounds. Imagine how big a bag it was as there were 1,000 workers there. I got very fit as I then had to carry the bag to the train station for my commute home. Imagine all the strange looks I used to get. But I didn't care, because I knew just how much my veggies liked the grounds and how much the slugs hated it!VPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02732971362066784175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5914810585595300402.post-22595248888760618272008-08-28T13:57:00.000-07:002008-08-28T13:57:00.000-07:00Thank you so much for this information. We compost our grounds (and filters), and of course the earthworms love them, but sheesh. Maybe that's finally a good use for those wretched Starbucks (and Dunkin' Donuts)!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5914810585595300402.post-29953470091797132452008-08-27T22:19:00.000-07:002008-08-27T22:19:00.000-07:00How interesting Deb. We have rather acidic soil here so I have stayed away from adding them directly to the soil. I also never knew they can be used as air freshener. Wow.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5914810585595300402.post-59184510556736335212008-08-27T20:02:00.000-07:002008-08-27T20:02:00.000-07:00pgl, do it. They are good garden stuff. Put ground coffee or coffee beans in a large container, and sit your candles on them (either alone, or in their own glass containers) as the wax warms, it will warm the coffee and release a light scent. I didn't know about the used grounds being valuable, too. I don't have a compost bin, but can sprinkle them in my flower beds.Nolahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12233644555327847881noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5914810585595300402.post-21090431254043754362008-08-27T16:36:00.000-07:002008-08-27T16:36:00.000-07:00Great tips Debbie. I will have to look into asking my nearby Starbucks for coffee grounds the next time I'm there. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
