During late summer the tomato plants do not set fruit because of the heat(above 90 degrees at night). Indeterminate plants will produce twice. Determinate plants produce once and need to be replaced in order to get a fall crop. This year I did not get a mid summer yeild because I put my plants in too late.Aunt Debbi/kurts momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05663049154538571378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5914810585595300402.post-68862101387633344152008-10-27T12:55:00.000-07:002008-10-27T12:55:00.000-07:00Deb - I'm reasking my tomato question to you from ...Deb - I'm reasking my tomato question to you from over at my place:

Is a summer crop failure followed by an autumn crop the usual kind of thing for Texas, or do you usually have 2 crops per season?VPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02732971362066784175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5914810585595300402.post-63111796194860257442008-10-27T10:43:00.000-07:002008-10-27T10:43:00.000-07:00Kris, The fall tomatoes taste the same, but the sk...Kris, The fall tomatoes taste the same, but the skins are much thinner.
