My Earliest Post Ever

I am up at midnight and will be up until 3:00 am. We have rain water half way up the front yard and it is at J's granny's front door. Somebody needs to come over here and build an arc or at least bring a row boat that can hold one chunky woman, three boys, two cats, two rabbits, and a german shepherd. Maybe we could go to Canada or Oklahoma? Meme is on high ground, but I am afraid that chrishanda might have a problem with that.

  3. Now I understand your instant response to my post today. Hope you're not inundated and all will be well soon.

Yes it's weird this time thing isn't it? I find it strange each Wednesday when I'm talking to you guys yesterday, to people in Oz at the end of the day, when I'm just having breakfast here!

  4. Hopefully the water has receded a bit and you are sleeping right now. The rain just started here and we're expecting to get poured on until sometime tomorrow morning.

Pop in later and let us know you are ok.

  5. Debbie ... you won't do well here in Canuck land either .. we have so much snow that is going to melt with this rain .. well .. we know flooding is going to be a major problem here too .. we are on higher ground with fair storm drains .. we shouldn't have a problem.
Hope you will be OK too !

  7. We have no park, no yards, no bridge, and a kid floating somewhere on our end of the creek. The fire rescue is up the street. We were trying to decide what to take upstairs. We're good this morning though. Hope they found the teen.

  8. Mercy on us, Debbi! Glad you're all okay. I know that waiting-to-wash-away feeling too well (once had a news helicopter shooting footage of the lake that was formerly my backyard, yikes). I'm vacationing this week in North Carolina and we're supposed to get it down here today...

  9. My goodness Deb!

My childhood house is near a river and sometimes it would swell so much, we'd be wringing our hands and watching the levy with both eyes.

I know that feeling. Hope everything's ok! -Jen :)

  10. Thanks everyone for you concern. They have not found the boy that was swept into the creek by meme's house. It does not look good.

  11. Oh no! I hope they find him.

Isn't that system awful? We had tons of snow the last couple of days, I think it's from the same system. You'd think it would be running out of steam any time now!
