Something is Digging in My Garden.

Two days ago I cleaned up a wide row in the garden and planted snow peas in the back and lettuce in the front. It was going to be pretty and straight and colorful. I planted Mesclun Mix lettuce. Today I went out to water it and something had dug around in it. Didn't really ruin it, but it won't be nice and straight and pretty. I am pretty sure it was a cat. This is the story of my gardening life. I try to make something that is going to be pretty or I clean a room, or I close the cabinet doors. Later, something comes behind me and redistributes my work. Sigh.

  3. Ooooh...So it's the "flying monkeys"?! And here I was about to blame it on the armadillos....

  4. I actually blamed my monkeys for the hole an actual armadillo was digging in my front yard.

  5. Hi Debbi,
I know what you mean. It seems the moles and groundhogs go right behind me! Raccoons got all our tomatoes last summer! My Jack-in-the-pulpit was just getting to going good and beginning to increase, then a ground hog dug a big hole and the little bank above it caved in. Am watching to see if anything survived. But, there are other interesting things to focus on. I'm sure your garden is already going. We are still in winter. Nice blog, by the way.
