Hot Afternoon Bunny Drama or Abby has a Bad Day

It is 102 here and feels like 107. Usually, we put a couple of frozen water bottles in the rabbit hutch to keep the bunnies cool. I forgot to freeze them last night so we had to bring all four rabbits inside to keep them safe and cool. So we have four rabbits, two cats, three kids, me and a German shepherd in the house. There is only one kennel. Usually, Abby stays in there. We have to keep either the daddy bunny or the rest of the bunnies in the kennel to avoid additional bunnies. Gotta keep em separated - nuff said. So at least one bunny at a time is in the living room being babysat by a monkey. The only one having a hard time is Abby.
First she got in trouble for trying to give these a bath.
Then this one scratched her on the nose when she tried to give her a kiss.
Then this one chased her out of the living room. How humiliating.
Abby is not having a good day.

  1. Poor Abby, she did have a hard day. That heat makes everyone alittle crazy.

  2. Aaawww, poor Abby. Diva Dog knows all about getting too close to a less than enthusiastic feline.

  3. I swear that cat of yours has a demented sort of look to it! Please don't take that the wrong way, Deb. I just laugh every time I see that cat. I don't know if it's a haughty look, or a naughty look, or a demented look!

  4. Pg, she is in the bedroom by herself now. When the bunnies go outside, she will come back out.

Hi Curmudgeon, Sometimes it is just not a dogs day.

Brenda, You do know that is a different cat, right? That's the mom the calico is the daughter.

  5. Aww, poor Abby. She looks so sad. All she was trying to do was help y'all out and she gets in trouble for it. Sounds like her day was almost as busy as mine.

  10. We got the heat too and I'm sick, sick, sick of it. This makes the third summer in a row. It almost drives me to quit gardening...nah..just a passing thought. Oh good grief I got maters coming out my ears though.

Look at your puppy--she's disgusted with all of you. She wants peace and quiet and her home back.

  11. Anna, we are literally sick. People are dieing around here. I don't think any of us want to garden right now. Wish I has some of your tomatoes. We hurt Abby's feelings, but she is better today.

  12. Poor Abby. I feel her emotions(-: Jack would have had a melt down and the poor bunnies would have been terrorized. Abby is a good girl to just ignore them(-:

  14. I guess heat-related mood swings are universal, even for the cute fuzzies!

  15. Abby deserves a treat--I can't believe she and your cat left the rabbits alone. We had a pet rabbit once who literally was frightened to death by a cat. Glad you have much more harmony at your house:)

  16. Hi rose, They only let the rabbits alone because we were right there. I am not quite sure harmony would discribe this place. Pretty much a zoo
