Weee're Baaack

We took the Monkeys to Oklahoma for a few days. They played in the water at Turner Falls and at Chickasaw National Park.

Here they are in the falls.
They fed a bunch of animals at a wild life park. BTW Giraffes have very long slimy tongues, just saying.
We hiked and saw some beautiful country. We all came back happy and tired. I can barely walk. If I had not started taking aerobics a month ago, I probably would not be able to walk right now.

I came home thinking maybe I need one of these.

  4. Thanks pg, I wonder what it says about our parenting that we want a jail cell? hahaha.

  5. Well, I can tell ya from having raised two daughters, one of those cells would come in real handy for the teenage-hood! Real handy.

  6. Hi Brenda, We thought a well placed rose bush might do the trick?

  7. Bravo to you for managing three boys... I can see why you can hardly walk. Did you need that lock up for you or the boys? Just asking. :-)

  12. LOL! Love the jail cell. You know what else works? A dog kennel. I wonder if I can find the picture of son in our dog kennel.... Probably not too comfortable for very long though so I suppose a jail cell would be nicer. Cheesehead has pretended to lock the kids in the shed already. He was even kind enough to offer to cut a hole in the floor for them so they could go to the bathroom. What a nice dad, huh?

Well, everyone survived AND came home from vacation together so it must not have been too bad, right?

  13. Welcome home and I was gone too. I went to Pawley's Island SC. No waterfalls there that I know of but it would have been refreshing. I like the jail and if you really want them to be good--don't put a tv in there.

  15. Hi Deb, Welcome Back! It looks like you and your family had a nice vacation. I too could probably use one of those jail cells- I have two boys- one 14 the other 9. Actually what I really need is that waterfall right now as we are in the middle of a blistering heat wave. The deck reads 113 degrees! Yuck!

  17. Cinj, Middle monkey has locked himself in the dog kennel.

Great idea anna, lockdown with no entertainment.

Aww, WWW, I missed y'all too.

113 yikes cindy. I thought 106 was killer. Stay cool.

You are right cindy at rosehaven cottage (there has got to be a better way to distiguish the two of you. I'm working on it). They are already asking to go back. They liked this trip better than Sea World.

  18. Welcome back! Looks like a fabulous trip. Seeing those photos makes me want to head for the Smokies! As for teen containment, how about a trifoliate orange barrier? Not much could break through those horrid thorns...

  19. Hi ofb, one of my friends used that Dr. Van Fleet rosebush to keep in a teenage girl. Worked pretty well until the kid figured out how to stay up later than the grownups and walk out the front door.
