It is cool, windy day here in north Texas. Leaves are falling and getting blown all over the place. The temperature feels wonderful. This has been the driest October I can remember. There is a slight chance of rain later, but not much of a chance.
I went outside to water the garden. This has to be done every day because of the sunny, dry weather. I have been leaving the door open because it has been so nice outside.
Well look what the wind brought inside for me this morning. No Monkeys were involved in this particular mess. It was all me. My grandmother, Rhodella, is rolling over in her grave right now. I can just hear her, "Were you raised in a barn?"
Are you absolutely certain that no monkeys were involved? I find it hard to believe when they are not into mischief of some variety!

Brenda, they were in school. I did it all by myself. I don't have any clue what they might be pulling on their teachers though.
ReplyDeleteGood to know that the monkeys aren't always the culprits! lol This was my grandmother's favorite expression too. :)
ReplyDeleteRacquel, We have a lot of grandmaisms. I'm sure I will blog about them later.
ReplyDeleteDebbi - that darn wind! We had it whipping everything around here today. I think they said 25- 30 mph. I didn't even want to go outside, but, like you, I had to water the pots -- sigh!
ReplyDeletediana, I think I got more water blown on my feet than made it to the soil. I just stepped outside tonight and it seems better. We have a chance of rain. It has been so dry. We need a break.
ReplyDeleteIt's been damp here, so we've all been tracking in those horrid little honeylocust leaflets like no tomorrow. We try to shed our shoes at the door, but poor Molly can't do the same with her paws, so it's a constant battle trying to find them all and get them up. But then, between fur and feathers, I guess we do that constantly anyway... And I don't know about you, but I've always thought it would be kinda fun to be raised in a barn!
