Traditional Post Holiday Activity
Teenage Monkey and Middle Monkey joined in their annual, post Christmas wrapping paper tube fight. The warrior whose tube breaks first loses. Teenage Monkey clearly lost, but refused to give up until his tube was a useless rag.
As you can see from the shorts the Monkeys are wearing, it is very warm here today, mid 70's, sunny, with a light breeze. We could not ask for more beautiful weather. I even saw a sulpher butterfly visiting the hen bit flowers. We need to finish the last three beds in the winter garden before the weather turns cold and wet, which is actually the best weather for us to grow cool weather crops
Hope you are having a great start to your New Year.

I had exactly the same kind of fight with my nephew over Christmas. Our tubes were light sabres though and I was forced to play the part of Darth Vadar...
ReplyDeleteDefinitely typical boys! When mine were younger, I couldn't keep dowels, plant stakes or anything swordlike around. The boys always took them to play with!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Lorilee
We sure enjoyed our beautiful weather here today, too. And like you, I'm trying to get more "fall" crops in! Looks like the monkeys had a great day!
ReplyDeleteI miss the warm temps. Looks like the kids had a good time(-: I have leaves still that need raking and I might get that done someday...(-:
ReplyDeleteVP, I am cracking up thinking of your sweet self cast as Darth Vadar. Too funny.
ReplyDeleteLorilee, Yes, it is pretty typical young male behavior.
Diana, it is supposed to be just as pretty here tomorrow.
Cindee, I trained all my neighbors to mow their leaves into their lawns, so now I don't have extras to compost.
Good idea for after Christmas! You sure have cute monkeys!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda.
ReplyDeleteDeb - I was cracking up myself as it was sooo funny and nephew was giggling a lot too. So the tube fight descended into a tickle monster fight instead after a while. Heh heh heh :D
