Meetings all morning. Picked early this afternoon to begin working out. Work at the library until seven. I am worn out. The garden is watered and I am going to start a new book.
Anybody read the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris? Vampires are my favorite monsters.
Since this is such a lame post, I will leave you with a recipe.
Zucchini with Tomato Sauce and Onions
Saute 1 medium onion in a little butter. Slice two zucchini and add to the onion. Cover in tomato sauce add 2 tablespoons brown sugar and one tablespoon Worcestershire sauce. Cook over low heat until the zucchini are soft and the tomato sauce is thick.
Enjoy.
I can't wait to see what my site meter does with that title.
Letting the garden grow

I'm not a vampire, but I am certainly worn out--so...I get zucchini..right?? Makes sense to me! :)
ReplyDeleteOf Course, come right over and I will save you some.
ReplyDeleteI'll look for a zucchini crescent pie recipe I have; sort of a quiche, very good way to use zucchini.
ReplyDeleteI like books about vampires too Deb, so I will have to check this series out. That recipe sounds yummy. Interesting post title today, lol. ;)
ReplyDeleteHa ha, I agree. That recipe sounds great.
ReplyDeleteI just started the second book in the Sookie Stackhouse series. I'm trying to get the second one read before the new season of the True Blood series starts on HBO. I read the first book after watching the series and it made reading the book not as fun. I think that I will like it the other way around better.
ReplyDeleteNola, thanks for sending me the recipe. I hope to have tons of zucchini, if I ever get it planted.
ReplyDeleteRacquel, I've only gotten a little into the first book, but I am enjoying it.
Shala, I need to keep that in mind. I would like to check the series out too.
You and your titles are usually priceless!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Thanks Brenda.
ReplyDeleteDebbi, not lame at all! Juts sounds like you are busy. If you have big zucchini, I have a recipe for mock apple pie you can make with it.
ReplyDeleteThe Wenches are fans of Sookie Stackhouse. We're fans of zukes too.
ReplyDeleteGeez Nola and Deb, where were you when I had that glut of zucchini before the chooks ruined the garden? That recipe sounds lovely.
ReplyDeleteHey, at least you worked out! Good for you!!! I'm hoping to drag my sorry self off for a workout at some point this morning, too. And your recipe sounds great! I use Zukes in my spaghetti sauce---same principle, sort of. Have you tried this over pasta or rice?
ReplyDeleteBeckie, never heard of mock apple pie made from zuchini. interesting
ReplyDeleteCurmudgeon, Me too now.
Foxy, We will have you all ready for next summer.
OFB, I have not put it over pasta or rice, but it sounds good.
