I managed to get the computer working. I had to do this restore thing. It took a long time, but it worked. I haven't tried to use the printer yet, but having the internet back is a relief. What in the world was I going to do with a gallon of figs and no instructions from the webiphere?
If you had a gallon of figs, what would you do with them? Really, I need to know. I've got no clue.

Hi, Debbi,
ReplyDeleteNot sure what to do with a gallon of figs. But, you obviously can grow them.
I inherited one when we bought this house. It had one little fig this spring. But, that fell off.
Is there a secret I need to know about growing them?
Glad you got your computer back. What would we do without these things?...
Glad you are back online. Computers are pretty much attached to our hips! Figs? Hmm, I don't know a thing about them! When you find out, make a post, and we'll all learn something;-)
ReplyDeleteAre they fresh? I don't even like fresh figs, but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE dried ones.
ReplyDelete(you can dry yours and mail them to me) ha ha ha! Good luck, I'm sure you'll come up with something.
Well.... after I have eaten too many fresh and raw, I would make preserves if I could find our Aunt Winnie's recipe. Hers had lemon and little strips of lemon rind in with the figs. Oh! it was good!
ReplyDeleteLucky you I love fresh figs and you can't even buy them from the supermarket or fruit shop very often here.
ReplyDeleteJam is the only thing I can think of. I love them on a cheese platter.
Glad your back online. I spent an hour yesterday getting back online with a new modem. Who knew a modem would take so long? It was crazy that I was having to restart the modem 6 plus times a day. No wonder I've been staying off the computer so much lately.
ReplyDeleteGot so busy babbling I forgot to tell you what I'd do with the figs! Dried figs are good. Maybe something like a fig newton? I don't know any recipes though, but that's what allrecipes.com is for, right?
ReplyDeleteFig newtons!! Yum.
ReplyDeleteMake fig jam,or preserves. My aunt who lived in memphis used to make fig jam and she used strawberry jello in the recipe. Tasted like strawberry jam but since I love figs I want to taste figs not strawberries. Wish I had a tree again. Used to have one in a former life and my grandfather had one too.
ReplyDeleteHi all, I've been so busy I haven't had time to comment back. Thanks for all the suggestions. I ended up making fig preserves without the strawberry jello. Baby monkey loves them and my coworder took some home to put on her breakfast toast.
