Here I am and it is only for a good cause. That thing on my head is the scarf I made for the scarf initiative planned and organized by Kathryn at Plant Whatever Brings You Joy. This scarf will join 64 others from around the world and be sent to Askole, Pakistan to a girls school for refugees. Thanks for the great opportunity Kathryn.
The map in the background is actually Teenage Monkey's wallpaper in his room. Cool huh?
Here is VP modeling her scarf
It is very nice to put a face with the blogger! Great cause and lovely scarf-64 is a bunch!
ReplyDeleteHi tina, I feel more comfortable hiding behind my quilt:)
ReplyDeletevisit this blog. thank you.
ReplyDeleteIt is so lovely to see you.
ReplyDeleteWell done with the scarf - Knitting was one of the things I never mastered.
Karen
Thanks Karen, but I cheated with that one using a knifty knitter loom.
ReplyDeleteThat scarf looks lovely! I like putting a face with a blogger too. The map looks like some wall paper we have except it has a maroonish cast to it. We were going to put it up in the guest room of our old house and never got around to it.
ReplyDeleteHi cinj, we ordered that wall paper from National Geographic. It is three pieces and fits perfectly on his wall.
ReplyDeleteHey You, nice to see you! :)
ReplyDeleteWish I had that goregous head of hair. Nice job on the scarf.
Btw, aren't we having a fabulous fall? My peppers are making up for all the pouting they did back in June/July. I'm glad I kept mine alive too. Have you tried a pepper called Fajita Bell? Very tasty, but only mildly hot. Really nice in stir-fry.
Aww, thanks vonne. Yes we are having a wonderful fall. I have not tried the fajita bell pepper. I mostly grow hot peppers but will be doing at least one bell next year. I am switching the garden over to square foot so I can fit more in.
ReplyDeleteYou have a megawatt smile that would light up a room.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
How sweet brenda, I am now blushing a little.
ReplyDeleteHi Aunt Debbi! Love the scarf and the photo!!! I still have about 2 feet to do on mine, but now you and VP are tempting me to try to get Richard Saunders to take a photo with his digital camera and upload it on our site, once I've finished the darned thing... ---Silence
ReplyDeleteHI silence, hope to see yours soon.
ReplyDeleteDebbi - oh lovely to see you!
ReplyDeleteAnd how brave - I know what you mean about wanting to hide behind your quilt ;) As you can see, I still managed to hide behind my scarf a little bit!
And Silence - show yourself, do :D
We could be like the 3 musketeers then, or should it be the 3 knittateers?
vp, yes yes, knittateers it is.
ReplyDeleteYou are beautiful!! Your hair color is close to mine. Mine comes from a bottle sometimes;)
ReplyDeleteI laughed when you said you weren't going to knit again. But just think---it will last forever for the precious person who get's it. Good for you and that is a wonderful gift.
Awww Anna, so sweet. I have thought we have similar hair looking at your picture. Ever had a hair bomb on a cloudy day? Only curly hair gals will understand that:)
