It Rained

I woke up this morning to a pair or royally ticked off cats. They decided to sleep on the deck last night and it rained on them. As soon as I opened the door they high tailed it into the house complaining the whole time. Well, they didn't really high tail it, they don't have tails, more like high nubbed it.
It was not enough rain to make much of a difference. Most likely, all it will accomplish is making it more humid this afternoon. Of course, I washed a rug yesterday and left it out overnight to dry. Yep, it's wet.
There is a slight chance for more rain this morning and over the next couple of days. Wish us luck.

  1. Great sky picture! I was hoping for some rain last night but all we got was some thunder. What a tease! I'll cross my fingers for you to get some more rain.

  2. Love the clouds! I see a few clouds outside here right now. Wish they would bring us some rain. I left throw pillows out on the swing, but they can stand to get wet!

  3. When are you sending that rain over here? As for those cats, you'd better get the picture: cats run the household. It's just their status in life. It's what they fully expect. And you don't get much thanks for it. Just a haughty nod your way every once in awhile when it's kitty treat time. At least that's the way it is at my house!

  4. Thanks pg, we need all the positive rain thoughts we can get.

Hi meadowview thymes, hope you get some raindrops soon.

Hi Brenda, this same rain might actually migrate towards you. I don't know exactly how far east you are, but that's where it is heading.

  5. Those look like some threatening clouds- hope you get some more rain. Maybe you should leave out another rug! :-)

It rained here last night which is odd for this time of year but it was probably all because of me because I had just washed my car! Murphy's Law, right?

  6. OOOH! I LOVE that picture. I was looking at a sky similar to that when we were going to Iowa (once I finally got ahead of the storm). Since I was forced to drive I gave the camera to the others to snap my pictures. I guess I should have pulled over, I did get a very lovely shot of the van's ceiling as well as several pictures showing my camera and it's flash in the reflections on the window. LOL.

I can imagine the "scolding" the cats gave you when they got inside. Like it was all your idea for them to stay outside. Silly cats.

I had some rugs from my van that got rained on a few times, it's easy to do!

  7. Hi cindy, Murphy's law all right. I took the rug inside and the clouds vanished.

Cinj, You remember what happens when my kids get the camera. We get squirrel nads. Not pretty. I would like to know why it is my fault those cats wouldn't come inside?

  8. That always happens to me - putting the washing out to rinse ;)

I bet you're pleased to see some rain at last though, even if the cats were ticked off by it. Are they Manx cats BTW, hence the lack of tails?

  9. We just had some nice winter rain in my corner of Australia, too. We don't have any grass in our yard, though. We now have a mud yard.

  10. What a beautiful picture! Can we have some rain, pretty please? With a cherry on top? :)

  11. Yes, VP they are Manx. Tisha is the mom and Trixie is the daughter.

Crazy Sister, yikes how will you keep the kids from tacking it all in the house. I should talk, last winter we had hay in ours.

Lewru, If I was the good witch of rain, I would so send it to you.
