Going on a Quilting Trip

I am planning my escape to a land where there are no monkeys, the pillows stay on the bed, and the socks are not on the ceiling fan. I am going to Houston to visit my good friend Kathy. Mamala and I will be leaving tomorrow morning. We will spend all day at the International Quilt Show. I hope to get a lot done on that quilt up there in the picture. Just think, three days of of uninterrupted quilting, quilt shopping, and adult conversation. Oh the joy of it. I am so happy my head might explode.
I'll be back on Friday in time for trick or treating. Why don't you visit some of the blogs I dig while I'm gone. The list is right over there on the sidebar.

  1. Have a safe trip and be careful. Are you leaving UNCLE Debbi at home with the boys? Or is it MR Debbi? (I can't decide what to call by husband; sometime I call him "My Beloved" (tongue in cheek), sometimes Hubby, sometimes Eddie. I used to call him "Chief" since he's Indian, but friends always took that wrong, so I don't know what to call him; oops, sorry, did I get off topic, or what??????)
Your double wedding ring quilt is beautiful, that and Dresden Plate are my two favorite patterns!

  8. Sounds like a heavenly trip! You'll be getting back when I'm getting ready to roll out to MIL's. When do I get MY break from kids anyway? Manly man is going to have his hands full while you're gone.

Cinj, I am so excited. You have to plan you escape carefully. I have help from my mom and friend. We do this every year.

  13. Well, I wouldn't really blame you if once you get that far, you can't bring yourself to return to an uncivilized land again. If you keep running, give us a holler so we know you're all right. Somewhere out there! You'll actually probably get bored with no mischief!
