Blogoversary

Aunt Debbi's Garden is one year old today. On this date last year I made my very first post. I was taking myself really seriously. Nobody commented. Lucky for y'all the Monkey's took over. This blog may be silly, but it usually isn't boring.
A look at my site meter shows that more than 13,000 people have been here to visit. Now, I know that is not a lot in the big blogging picture, but hey, I'm blown away.

I have enjoyed this hobby very much. I have made some great internet friends and actually met one face to face. I love to read comments y'all leave and go out and read y'alls blogs.
I have gotten some great ideas from other garden bloggers. I hope I have given a little bit of good information along with all the silliness.
I chronicled the really silly invasion of pumpkins in my tiny garden.
We were involved in several sock situations, one became an international incident

I feel like this is a great record of our lives from my point of view and saturated in plants.
The Monkeys are not impressed.

  4. If there's no smelly socks or ceiling fans involved, the monkeys don't seem mightily impressed by the events of us boring gardeners! They may be an unruly bunch, but they sure are cute and entertain us daily. I love visiting your blog, Debbi. I would like to know where "Aunt" Debbi came from, though...

  5. Monkeys are usually not impressed with anything we, their parents, do, unless it involves pulling candy out of our sleeves or something equally desirable. Congrats on your anniversary!

  6. Happy Blogoversary Aunt Debbi! Every day I just marvel at all I've learned through blogging; all the friends I've met; all the laughter and all the tears. My life has been enriched so much, and I've only been doing it for 4 months. Each new day I find something great!

  7. Happy anniversary. I enjoy the silliness, it makes me feel like I'm not alone in the universe with crazy kid antics.

Time sure flies, doesn't it? I don't even remember how long I've been blogging, I'll have to check all of my blogs to see how long I've been flapping my jaws. I've never really been serious though that I can recall....

  13. I remember my first visit too. I was trying to figure out if you were totally off your rocker or smart as all get out. Didn't take me too long to figure out you are extremely smart. I have enjoyed each visit since and wish you the best. Happy Anniversary!

  14. Thanks Anna, I feel more off my rocker than smart.

  15. Congratulations Aunt Debbi!!! You (and the Monkeys) brighten our day. Not to mention the vegetable massacres. (Our friend Ben would like to suggest that perhaps a sock massacre is in order.) And we think 13,000 visitors is a very impressive number. Way to go!!! We're already looking forward to our first anniversary this coming February. Like you, we've been having a ton of fun blogging away and getting to know other bloggers. It's a wild and wonderful world out there!---Silence
