Do Plants Belong Here?

The news people insist we are going to have our first freeze tonight. If they mean freaking Oklahoma again I am going to be Maaaaad.

A dozen years or so ago, I convince Manly Man to come help me move the plants inside because I was a helpless girl and he was a big strong man. He didn't stand a chance. He was so stunned he didn't even try to get away. He does not have to help me bring in the plants anymore. I make his kids do it.

So anyway, we brought in most of the plants before sundown tonight. About ten minutes ago, I remembered the little water garden. It had glass balls in it and a few plants that might not like having their roots frozen. Great, where does one put soaking wet plants? The bathtub, of course.

I can't wait to see their reactions when they wake up, stumble into the bathroom, and find it full of soggy plants. Sometimes it is fun to be me.

Where is the weirdest place you have stored a plant?

  1. LOL! I've had plants in the bathtub too, but it was in order to give them a bath :) Well, they were houseplants and they were looking a little dusty.

  2. I don't have any plants in the bathtub, but come a freeze warning, many have to come inside. Dear hubby is tired of bringing them in and out but not enough to buy me a greenhouse. LOL

  3. What a great idea! Then you can water without worrying about the runoff! I'll post a photo of my garage. It was bad before, but now I have filled it to the rafters with plants I can't bear to lose!

  4. Jan, Confession, I have a greenhouse I share with a fellow master gardener. I am just to lazy to tote them all over there.

Nola, My kitchen looks like a forest.

  5. I guess it's a good thing to keep your plants in the bathtub and take your baths outside. No ring in the tub for sure.

Let's see weirdest place to store plants. How about in the trunk of the car?

  6. Better hope the sleepy heads don't step into the pots attempting to have their shower...
